"Earth" without "art"

I'm always fascinated by how magical art can be. How something simple can turn into something dramatic and complex. How it opens up your imagination and makes you think beyond the picture. You learn how to see, not just look.
I love Portland for being so supportive of its local artists. Last Saturday North Coast Seed Building Studios opened up its doors in this once-a-year event. We met working artists, tour spaces, learned new techniques and got inspired.

There are so many things in our everyday life which is true art: raindrops on the window, sun beams through the clouds, shade from trees on the ground, a butterfly landing on your hand. Let's never forget that, othewise, "earth" without "art" would be just "eh". And I believe that living on "eh" wouldn't be as exciting.

  5. Hi there, beautiful photographs! You have a great eye, what kind of camera are you using? The artwork is great, I'll have to check out the studio when I'm back in OR.
